We’ve hit 3,000😵😍😃🎉!!!

Hi lovelies!

I just wanted to start this post with, THANK YOU! We’ve hit more than 3,000 views on my blog, and I couldn’t be happier! Thank you guys SO MUCH for always staying connected with my crazy life and checking up on me with all my latest blog posts💗.

Stay tuned for this week as I blog about one of my highlight adventures of summer so far, a crazy new health lifestyle change I will be making, and finally getting back on track with a new gym routine!

I will be spending this weekend constantly working, so if you can, soak up some sun for me🤗☀️!!!

Lots of love,

Don’t trust me on my days off…✈️

The other day I had my first night off I’ve had in a while. I learned that in my night off,  I cannot be trusted to have a “normal night off”. This is because I will book a trip or plan/experience some sort of crazy adventure.

To be honest, I actually love that adventurous aspect of my personality. Craving adventure, and then following through with it shortly after by booking a trip or experience that I’ll never regret.

So…. At the end of September I’m going to LAS VEGAS🎉! This is the first time I will be experiencing Vegas, and I am SO excited 😍.

I will be staying in the Paris hotel for four nights and will be there for five days.

In the meantime, I want to hear from you guys about as many recommendations of MUST DO’s in Vegas for dining, night life and entertainment.

Since I love lists, I will be creating a list of goals to achieve and experience in Vegas. Once I have a few things in mind, and hear from you guys about what I need to experience, I will be posting it on my blog!

Stay tuned and be sure to let me know what your Vegas favourites are of restaurants/nightlife/entertainment/ and experiences in Las Vegas!

That’s all for now,

Experiencing new things

I am currently doing something I have never done before and it feels great. Right now, I am dining in my favourite restaurant, drinking my favourite drink and enjoying my favourite meal. The thing that makes this situation one that I’ve never experienced before is that I’m doing this all alone.

Recently I have made a goal to start focusing on how to learn experiencing life being alone without the feeling of being dependent on someone else for an outlet of happiness. I have a tendency of usually always trying to surround myself with someone because I enjoy their company more than my own. Similar to other people, I experience a common feeling of lonlieness whenever I’m alone.

I love people. Meeting new people, talking to new people and learning about all different types of people. As much as I love experiencing that, I have never really learned to experience a consistent happiness of the feeling of being alone.

Tonight is the start to my goal of instead of feeling empty and lonely when I am alone to feel alive, confident, happy and to find inspiration in being alone.

Cheers to new beginnings,

Hey, it’s been a while!

Hi lovelies🌸

Hope everyone has had a kick ass start to their summers! My life has been normal with  being completely abnormal and always full of surprises. Since it’s been a while, I don’t even know where to begin but I’ll try my best…

I am currently happily working three different jobs for the summer.
1) I am working at a Nightclub which I have been doing since January and I love it. The girls are so much fun and the job is great. I hope to be here for a while because it’s honestly fantastic.
2) Boston Pizza. I have been with this company for 2 years now and my co workers are like family to me. So much love for them.
3) I am a new employee at Rainforest Cafe! I am working full time until September but it’s a great gig. I have never met such a friendlier team of co workers and they all seem super sweet.

As for my lash business, I am putting it on pause until September. Being an eyelash technician is something you need to do multiple times everyday to get good at, and since I do not physically have the time to dedicate at being the best at it, I don’t want to start until I do. So starting September I will be continuing full time with lashes🎀!

So…  I signed a lease a couple months ago for my first apartment and the current tenants living their decided they didn’t want to move out. The landlord and I have never heard of this before but yeah, that’s what happened. At the time I was super sad and bummed out but the quote “Everything happens for a reason” was very accurate and played best in my favour.

I am newly single. Again, everything happens for a reason.

I am looking to book a trip in September and have no idea where I want to go! I know I want to go somewhere different, so if anyone has any recommendations please let me know.

I neeeeeeeeeed to get back on track with this. Since life has been SO crazy I have been completely exhausted and unmotivated to find the time to workout. But I need to find the time to start a good routine again with my gym hunny Izzy.

Overall, I am happy with life. I am a strong believer that everything happens for a reason, and the last couple weeks everything that has happened to me has ended up making sense why.

Hope everyone has a great week.
Lots of love,

DAY 3 of working in the Dominican Republic..✈️🌴

Hola Amigos!!💞

So its 9:35am and its the beginning of DAY 3 working as a Trip Leader in the Dominican Republic.

Yesterday was our first full day, and it was a great one. I set two goals for myself and achieved both of them which was great. But, what was even better was that I got rewarded for accomplishing these goals and I scored some extra time off in my day today. This means TIME TO HANGOUT AT THE OCEAN!!! Im really excited for some time off that I can spend tanning at the beach because my breaks have only been at 8pm so far, and as my friend Izzy told me the other day: ” You are the whitest you have been in a long time”(which is pretty uncommon).

Here’s a quick overview of what my day 3 is looking like for today:
– Two staff meetings beside the beach
– Surfing
– Time off.. AKA tanning and finally relaxing at the beach!
– And working at a party…
Not too shabby of a Wednesday for ya.

This hotel is really nice. Im staying at the Grand Bahia Principe San Juan resort in Puerto Plata and its pretty beautiful. The lobby is really big and spacious, and all the staff is incredible. There are three pools which get cleaned every night and looks great every day. One thing that was really surprising is how short of a distance you have access to of the ocean. What I mean is that there are rocks that are placed as boulders and wave stoppers because apparently the waves are super big and strong here, so which puts a limit of how far out you can go in the water. I love playing in the waves so thats one thing I was really shocked about and if it was a trip for pleasure instead of work I’d be kinda bummed out. Overall I’d say including this factor and that the sand is not the amazing, soft type of sand, I’d rate the beach 3.5/5.

The food here is what I expected. Not amazing 5 star food but it’s pretty good and everyone seems to be happy with it. I think I am a pretty unfair food critique because I can only stick to simple things because of my nut allergy. The last couple days my diet has consisted of a lot of fresh fruits, soooo much pineapple juice and pizza and french fries. They have Heinz ketchup here which is amazzingggggg. From talking to people who can eat any food, they have said its a lot better than food in Cuba but is not amazing lacks a little bit on flavour.

Anyways, there’s a little update from me! Now, time for some surfing 🏄!! I will try to post again soon❣️

Hugs and kisses from the Dominican,

One year ago vs. now

Happy Friday🌼!

Sorry its been literally forever since I last posted.. Life has been pretty crazy. This blog post is reflecting on where I was around this time last year compared to this year. The differences and similarities my life has had in one years time, and appreciating all of it.

May 24th 2016:
I was leaving to go travel on a family vacation to Scottsdale, Arizona. After this vacation I had 5 days to pack up to get ready to go and work at the iconic Cannes Film Festival as an Event Management Intern. After my amazing and unforgettable time in France, I had about two weeks to settle up unpack, and then re-pack to go work at the Banff World Media Festival as an Events Operations Assistant. I spent the rest of the summer travelling and making memories that I will have for the rest of my life. After most of my travelling experiences (which was in late August) I was getting ready to start and finish my last year in school which was specializing in Event Management.
My life has changed a lot in one year. 2016 was by far one of the best years in my life, especially with travelling. I went on a total of 8 vacations/trips while being a full time student. While my teachers told me I couldn’t do this and there was no way I could make this work with school, look who graduated and did just fine, like the rest of the class. Except I got to do things that made me happy and create memories and experiences I will remember for the rest of my life, while still completing all my work and achieving good marks.

June 2nd 2017:
My life has changed in the last year by many ways, but also has many similarities.

  1. Maturing more: I feel like I have matured a lot more. I am starting to pay for more bills, working full time, thinking more about the future, am successfully finished school (hopefully forever) and am soon moving out. I am young enough I can still take chances and do things where I don’t know how it’ll end up.
Example: Randomly taking a course to be a certified eyelash technician to start my own business. Completely random and has no guarantee how it’ll end up, but challenges myself in many ways and has the opportunity to extremely benefit myself.
  2. Working out: For over a month I have consistently been working out, and have no plan on stopping. This is the first time in a very long time I have been challenging myself to always try and make time for the gym a minimum of 5x a week. I must say even though I haven’t seen a lot of results (because that takes time) it feels very good to be pushing myself for a healthy lifestyle.

  1. Travelling: In 10 days this will be my third trip in 2017. From moving out and working more jobs, I may not be able to go on as many trips as last year but I will definitely be spending 2017 still travelling as much as I can.
  2. Surrounding myself with great people: I am one of those types of people that would rather have a few real, great friends then a lot of fake friends. In the last year it has changed who I am spending my time with, but the quality of the greatness of the people have not. Life’s too short to spend time with shitty people.
  3. Never settling: Regardless of what it is, I never settle. Currently I am trying to be the happiest I’ve been and that steams from your living situation, work life, and personal life. It is my goal to not stop looking at opportunities to be the happiest I’ve been, and to not settle for anything.

Overall, I am very happy. I have so many things and people to be thankful for, so how could I not be? It makes me super happy being able to look back on last year and all the fun, travelling experiences I got to enjoy. If you didn’t notice, last years focus was on travelling which I successfully did, and this year my focus is on bettering myself. Every day I want to challenge myself to be the best I can, and reach my fitness and personal goals by the end of 2017.

How has your life changed/stayed the same over the last year? Are you happy with how your life is going or do you have goals you want to achieve to make it even better? I’d love to hear about it💕!

Have a great day,

Heart eyes for life

Morning thoughts🌻:

If you don’t love almost every second of your life, something’s wrong. Not a day should go past where you don’t have heart eyes for your life (literally meaning being in complete love with your life). If you don’t feel this, think about positive impacts you can change towards your life, and maybe ask yourself/think about some of the following:

  1. What are your short term and long term goals? What can you do to achieve these?
  2. What type of people do you surround yourself with on a daily/weekly basis? If they are negative and only bring you down, why do you still choose to spend so much time with them?
  3. When’s the last time you read a great book? If you can’t remember, its time to read a new one. If you’re a female you absolutely need to read the book: Why Men Love Bitches. It’s by far my favourite book and I’ve read it at least 8 times.
  4. When is the last time you travelled, and how did that trip/adventure make you feel? In my opinion, if you can travel, travel.  It doesn’t need to be to a super expensive place, or for a long period of time but in my opinion when people explore and travel, a new, incredible part of them opens up and they are filled with inspiration. So if you can, look into booking a getaway and be ready to come back inspired, fresh and ready to continue living everyday to its fullest.
  5. Alright, time for the most important question: Are you happy?
If your answer is no, don’t be alarmed. This is an opportunity you can take to be the most happiest you’ve ever been in your life. In my opinion one of the first steps of being happy is knowing what makes you happy.
Here’s something I have done when I felt like nothing in the world made me happy: I am a huge list person. I love making lists whenever I can and for whatever I can. When I was thinking of what makes me happy, and kept coming up blank this is when I challenged myself to make a list of 50 things that make me happy. After challenging myself and completing this list, I realized how much I was overlooking the smallest things that had the ability to have the biggest impact on my happiness. This list helped me because whenever I was down or sad, I could look at this list and realize there were many things I could do to turn my mood around. When you are making this list try to have a lot of the things based on yourself and what you can do that makes you happy so you don’t need to rely on anyone else. I have many people that make me happy in my life, but I want to be happy without them, so I can just be that much happier when they’re around, and share that happiness.
Everyday I am so blessed for this healthy, happy life I have. I try to live life to the fullest, do things that make me happy and I’ve learned to genuinely not care what irrelevant peoples negative opinions are on my life. It’s mine and I’m going to spend it however I want because I can guarantee it’ll continue being amazing. Surround yourself with the people you love, and be kind even on your bad days.If anyone else has any comments or suggestions on what you can do to have “heart eyes for life” please let me know! I am very interested in what everyone does to make their lives the greatest, and what you do to constantly better yourself and make yourself the happiest you’ve ever been.

Have the best day,

Celebrating the small things✨

Happy Victoria Day/ reason to have a day off from work🤗!

I just wanted to share how important I think it is to celebrate the smaller things in life. In my opinion, people don’t stop to celebrate enough of the smaller great things/ goals they’ve worked hard to achieve, that they have successfully completed.

This past week I have been randomly super upset and down. When I tried to pin point what was causing this negative attitude I realized that I haven’t taken a break from all the hard work I’ve been doing. I also haven’t been taking moments to appreciate and be proud of my recent tasks, goals and achievements that I have accomplished. From now personally experiencing this, I can positively say that not stopping to appreciate all the hard work you’ve done can have a huge negative effect on yourself. This is because when you don’t take a moment to stop and relax, you feel like you always have tons of more things to accomplish with the feeling as if you are never going anywhere.

After experiencing this I wanted to remind everyone to take a break and celebrate the little things in life. I think for many of us its so hard for us to do that because we are always thinking of the next task we can accomplish, but you have so many things to be proud of, and you deserve that mini celebration for yourself!

In conclusion, take a break and celebrate🎉. Take a minute and do something that shows how appreciative and proud you are of yourself (or someone else) of how your hard work has paid off because, you deserve it! If someone you love has accomplished a goal or task they’ve been wanting to complete, make sure they celebrate it. This could mean having a mini celebration with them over a glass of their favourite wine, bring them over flowers, make a cute card, or take them out to their favourite restaurant. Celebrations don’t need to be expensive, they just need to show you have taken the time out to appreciate what you’ve completed.  It’s important to reward yourself of everything you’ve done so you can continue to accomplish everything else you want to do with a relaxed, inspired, positive mind set.

Today I’m celebrating my small goal that I’m proud of accomplishing which is reaching over 1,820 views on my blog since my first blog post! Let me know what you’re celebrating 💗🥂!

Enjoy today,

PS: Ladies, hope you love this song and it reminds you that you’re kicking ass in life.

Do you want to win a free set of lashes?!

Calling all ladies!

Do you want to win a free set of lashes?! Well, here’s how:

I have completed all of my theory portions of being a certified eyelash technician, and have officially done my first set on my first client🎀! This means that I’m one step closer to being open for business..

I have created a 4 day contest from today: Thursday, May 18th – Sunday, May 21st at 10pm. This contest includes helping me pick a name for my upcoming eyelash extension business, but with a name not focusing on lashes. This is because if I end up supplying different types of services other than lashes, I don’t want people to think I only do lashes because of the company name. I’m looking for a super cute, fun, girly name for my business that’s somewhat short but simple and catchy.

I will be posting the winner of the contest and my new company name on Tuesday, May 23rd.

HOW TO PLAY: As soon as this post is published, the contest has begun.
To contribute in this contest you will contact me by email at: courtneytodd21@icloud.com with the subject heading: “I want to win free lashes!”
fullsizeoutput_182RULES: You must submit a minimum of one company idea name, and can submit as many company names that you think would be a great fit, to help increase your chances of winning.

PRIZE: The winner will be contacted by email on Monday, May 22nd. This individual will receive 1 free lash set (that would normally cost around $100) . After contacting the winner, we  will set up an appointment on a day that both accommodates them and myself.

If you have any questions please leave a comment, or email/contact me personally.

Good luck everyone🍀💜!!
